LOCALIZED FAT

Localized fat (regional adiposity) is caused by the accumulation of excess fat in various parts of the body. This type of fat is usually very difficult to lose. It does not respond effectively to a well-balanced diet and physical exercise, and it is usually the last place in your body to respond. The distribution of fat is determined by gender, age, exercise, and genetics.

In women, the largest part of fat is located around the hips, thighs, and buttocks, while men tend to accumulate excess fat around their abdomen. Both sexes, however, are susceptible to “love-handles.” The difference in fat distribution patterns between both sexes is hormone-related.

There are four classifications of regional adiposity. Localized fat that accumulates in the abdomen and stomach areas is often known as “Apple” type. “Pear” type is used to describe fat that tends to be deposited on the hips, buttocks, and thighs. When fat deposits in the breasts and buttocks area, making the waist appear significantly smaller, it is known as “hourglass.” When the body has an ill-defined waistline and no curves, it is called “rectangular.”

Treatment

This type of fat is the most difficult to get rid of, often it is near impossible. However, there is hope with a selection of targeted treatments that can help you choose where to lose.

  • Cryolipolysis is used to freeze unwanted fat cells to the point of rupture without affecting surrounding tissues.

  •

  • Exilis is used to treat all areas of the body where stubborn fatty deposits persist or tighter, firmer skin is desired.

  •

  • Luvitra is used to eliminate fat cells on the hips, thighs, buttocks, and abdomen.

  •

  • LPG Endermologie is one of the most effective treatments for localized fat removal. Skin also becomes fresher looking, smoother, and more elastic.

You will also benefit greatly from Mesotherapy and Carboxy to eliminate localized fat, enhance circulation, encourage the growth of new skin, and flush the body of toxins.

It might be best to combine several of the treatments provided above to get the result you need, as each device is specialized for a certain issue.

Liposuction is a more aggressive method of fat reduction and creates trauma in the treatment area.

We normally recommend the above treatments after liposuction to maximize the results and assist with an issue that liposuction simply cannot fix.
